🏐 Hey, Hermosa Hornets! 🏐 Volleyball practice kicks off on August 21st from 3:45 to 5:15 pm. We can't wait to see our athletes back on the court, working hard and having fun! ✨ Mandatory Parent Meeting at 5:15 PM ✨ Right after practice on THURSDAY, we'll be meeting with parents to go over all the season details. It's super important, so make sure to stick around! 🚨 Reminder: Don't forget, all athletes need to have their sports physicals completed to participate in practice. Let's get those done and ready to go! Let's make this season amazing—see you on the court!

🌟 Early Childhood Screenings in Custer School District! 🌟 Dear Custer School District Families, We are thrilled to offer early childhood developmental screenings on August 27th and August 29th in both Custer and Hermosa. 📍 Locations and Appointment Details: - Custer: Armory Building, South Entrance on August 27th (9am -12pm) - Hermosa: Hermosa Elementary on August 29th (9am- 12pm) Why are early childhood screenings important? Early childhood screenings play a crucial role in your child's development by: - Identifying Developmental Milestones: Screenings help determine if your child is reaching key developmental milestones in areas such as speech, motor skills, and social interactions. - Early Intervention: If any delays or concerns are detected, early intervention can provide the necessary support and resources to address these issues promptly. - Building a Strong Foundation: Early detection and support ensure that your child has a strong foundation for academic and social success in school. - Peace of Mind for Parents: Screenings give parents valuable insights into their child’s development, helping them better understand their child’s needs and strengths. Let's work together to ensure our children have the best possible start in their educational journey! 📚✨ For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call our Special Education Department at (605) 673-2171.

School Supply lists are available on the school website. Look for the lists under each building's menu. See www.csd.k12.sd.us. The district will supply basic items such as pens, pencils, notebook paper, glue bottles, paints, Expo markers, and highlighters. Sending boxes of tissues/Kleenex throughout the year would be much appreciated at all school bldgs!
