    • Hello Hermosa PE families!

I know this is a very stressful and uncertain time for many families.   I believe it is super important for kids to stay active during this time away from school, but it also shouldn’t be stressful for you!

One thing I read recently that really resonated with me was this:   Remember, being outside is not discouraged!  Take advantage of the outdoors during this time. Protect your personal space and keep a distance from those you do not know.  Get out and enjoy some fresh air!!

On nice days, satisfying the standards for PE can be as easy as sending your kids out to play in a safe manner.

I will attach some links for physical activity that can be done indoors, but please realize this list is just an example.  There are hundreds and thousands of links and videos that can walk or dance kids through activity and getting their heart rates up.  If you have any questions or concerns during this time of school closure, don’t hesitate to contact me at casey.trandem@k12.sd.us
