 Announcements | | Plastic Lid Recycling Program | Please save your (clean) hard plastic lids from water & soda bottles, milk, toothpastes, detergents, shampoos, medicine bottles, and foods such as ketchup, mayo, peanut butter, etc. By saving and bringing your plastic caps/lids to the CSD Administration Office, we can help make the world a better place! The lids on plastic bottles are made from a different type of plastic, and cannot be recycled with the bottles. The lids end up in our landfills and in nature as litter. Aveda of Minneapolis, MN, has created a program to recycle those lids for their shampoo bottles, and is in partnership with numerous schools, including Custer School District, to collect lids to be recycled.
**Please no lids from items such as butter tubs, whipped cream, sour cream nor cream cheese, etc. These can be recycled with regular plastics but not with this program.
